Sunday Evenings

At Melissa UMC, our Student Ministry is a place where faith and fun meet! Each week, students in grades 6–12 gather on Sunday mornings from 11am–Noon and Wednesday evenings from 5–7pm to connect with friends, play games, serve our community, and grow in their faith.

Whether you’ve been in church your whole life or you’re just exploring what faith means to you, there’s a place for you here. Come be part of a group that’s passionate about growing together in grace, friendship, and the love of God.

Every week, our goal is the same: to be a space where students feel loved, included, and challenged to grow in faith and truth.

Questions? Send us an email!
We’d love to hear from you!

Student Ministries

Melissa UMC Student Group on Sunday Mornings from 11am-12pm

Every Sunday morning from 11:00am–12:00pm, students come together for a mix of fun, fellowship, games, and small group discussions. It’s a space to laugh, connect, and grow in faith together!

We are working through a series entitled "Basics of Faith" where we will explore faith, scripture, and the traditions of the church.

We can’t wait to see you!

Student Bible Study on Wednesday Nights from 5:30pm-7:30 pm

Bring your dinner and fellowship together while we eat. We will have a short worship at 6pm and then transition to small groups.

Come hang out, ask questions, and bring a friend!

Confirmation is a journey of learning about faith that is open to people of all ages and at all places in their faith journey.

At Melissa UMC, we begin an intentional confirmation journey for our middle school students each year.

They learn about the Bible, about the United Methodist Church, and about what it means to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

If you would like to receive information about becoming a part of next year's confirmation class, email Student Staff.

How can you support Melissa UMC Students?

Join Our Volunteer Team

If you have a heart for students, we’d love for you to join us! You don’t need experience, just a willingness to show up, listen, and care. Whether it’s helping at Youth Group, driving to events, or joining us on a mission trip, your presence can make a lasting impact. Please email Joseph Bradley: joseph@melissaumc.com

Invite Someone

You never know how one invitation can change a life. If there's a student in your world — a neighbor, a niece or nephew, a kid from your street — invite them to join us on a Sunday night. No pressure, no strings attached, just a welcoming place to belong. Sometimes all it takes is someone caring enough to ask.

Sponsor a Student

Every summer, our students head out to serve on mission trips that help them grow in faith and compassion. You can make a difference by sponsoring a student, helping to ensure every teen has the chance to go and serve, regardless of financial need. Please email Josh Rozeboom, Director of Student Ministries at josh@melissaumc.com

Pray for Us

There’s so much happening in the lives of students today, and your prayers truly make a difference. Pray for our teens as they navigate faith, friendships, school, and life, and for our leaders as they guide them with wisdom and grace.

We’re so grateful for the prayers, generosity, and encouragement our church family continues to pour into our students. If you’d like to get involved or learn more, email students@melissaumc.com
