Josh loves serving in youth, music, and worship ministry!
He previously served as Assistant Director to Youth and Families and Youth Worship Leader at First UMC of Denton. Prior to that, he was deeply involved at Custer Road UMC, where he grew up in the youth program and youth choir before serving in the church’s music ministry and youth choirs for several years. He also studied music with a sacred music concentration at the University of North Texas.
Josh grew up in Plano and recently married his wife, Michelle, in February 2025. Together they share their home with their dog, Tex, and their cat, Kinley. Outside of ministry, Josh enjoys playing and writing music, watching football, and spending time outdoors.
Youth ministry has always held a special place in Josh’s heart. His own faith journey was shaped by a vibrant youth program during his teenage years, and those experiences remain a cornerstone of his walk with God today. Because of this, Josh is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered community where students can encounter God, wrestle with big questions, and build lasting friendships rooted in faith. He believes that pouring into the next generation is one of the most important ways the church can live out its calling.
